Movies:
Knocked Up and Waitress – Both good and funny, go watch. Although after watching back to back movies about unwanted pregnancies, I’m now going to be wearing 15 condoms when I have sex. Of course, this presumes that I find a girl willing to have sex with me…
Also, The Protector- Starring the dude from Ong Bak (which was sweet) this movie is just out of fucking control. There was literally no moment when I had any idea what was going on. It’s obviously has been heavily edited for western audiences and the result is basically a mess. However, the action scenes are great and Tony Jaa (ja?) is amazing. Furthermore, it’s quite unintentionally hilarious so…I dunno, I can’t really recommend it but, if you happen to live somewhere where marijuana is legal, it could be fun.
Books:
Since I basically spent the last week locked in a cabin with nothing to do, I read about 10 books so I recommend the following (in no particular order):
Zima Blue and Other Stories - Alastair Reynolds
Cordelia Underwood - Van Reid
The Yiddish Policeman’s League - Michael Chabon
Blindsight - Peter Watts (more for the concepts then the actual story, although it’s not bad)
Anyway, I just moved into my summer housing and I start Summer League tonight. So, expect more updates and hopefully some different content. We shall see.
